WFS Public Sector Academy

Through collaboration with the Ramsey County Work Force Solutions department, we can offer paid internship opportunities for young-adults 18-24 seeking entry-level experience working for Ramsey County. Interns go through a 10-week learn-and-earn internship experience in various departments through Ramsey County. The next cohort begins in February 2023.

Important Information:

· The academy is held for ten weeks, Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m.

· Attendance is mandatory for the duration of the 10-week academy

· Participants are paid $15.22/hour and may receive bus/gas cards for transportation assistance

· Academy start date is September 19, 2022, and goes through December 1, 2022 (can potentially be extended)

Eligibility criteria: 

  • Age 18-24

  • A resident of Ramsey County

  • High school diploma or GED 

  • Eligible to work in the US.

Behavior Intervention Specialist

The Behavior Intervention Program (BIP) Supervisor is a dual role, serving as a behavior intervention subject matter expert, as well as overseeing the work and deliverables of the SPYS BIP team. The BIP Supervisor will provide BIP Specialists with support and resources while working one-on-one with students exhibiting adolescent behaviors who will benefit from redirection, de-escalation strategies, and restorative practices and their families to determine appropriate and effective interventions will ensure success in school and their community.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
